A natural pink halite specimen from California, USA, displaying the mineral's distinctive stepped, cubic crystal habit. Halite is the mineral form of rock salt, the same compound as common table salt, and grows in naturally forming cubic crystals. Multiple interlocking cubes grow at angles to one another, each face showing the characteristic hopper formation, where the edges and corners of the cube grow faster than the centre, leaving a stepped, recessed pattern across the crystal faces. Soft peachy-pink tones run through the cluster, with a slightly frosted texture across the crystal surfaces.

As a salt mineral, halite is naturally soft and water-soluble, so it's best displayed away from humidity and handled with care.

Each piece is one of a kind, with the crystal formation, hopper detail, and colour varying naturally from specimen to specimen.
