Each ammonite has been cut and polished to reveal her stunning internal chamber structure, the iconic spiral form of the ammonite laid bare in extraordinary detail. Warm amber and honey toned chambers are separated by sweeping suture lines that trace the intricate, organic geometry of how these ancient creatures built their homes millions of years ago. Both pieces sit beautifully as display bowls, their natural hollow interiors perfectly formed to cradle tumbles, jewellery or simply to be admired.

What makes these two pieces truly exceptional is what time has done to them beyond simple fossilisation. Ammonite A displays a breathtaking crystallised centre where calcite has gradually replaced the original shell material over millions of years, creating a glittering, jewel-like core that catches the light in the most extraordinary way. She also carries natural opalisation on her front face, soft flashes of colour that appear and disappear as the light shifts across her surface. Ammonite B takes things even further, her back face revealing vivid opalisation in fiery red, green and gold, genuine play of colour fire preserved within the fossil itself, rare and remarkable in a piece of this size.
